英國向來是香港人升學或移民的熱門地之一,隨著英國放寬居留規定,令定居門檻進一步下降,最近移英成為城中熱話。   英國政府推出新簽證「Hong Kong BN(O) Visa」,由2021年1月起,曾經擁有BNO資格的港人,可依此方法申請到英國生活,期間有權工作及讀書,住滿5年後可申請定居身份,再居留多1年,即可申請成為公民。英國外交部估計,5年內將有約20萬人以此途徑移居英國,或成為英國近年最大規模的非歐洲移民之一。   移民要準備的事何其多,選擇定居城市、找尋居所、銀行開戶、找工作、找學校、考車牌,每件事都不是一蹴即就。其中說到找工作,很多人都很灰地說,移英只能做藍領、做水電工人,就算有幸做回老本行,人工都會少一大截。  其實香港作為英國昔日的殖民地,跟英國在文化和資歷架構等多方面都已經比較相似,故此港人在英國有一定優勢,其中服務業是英國經濟最主要的部分,尤其是倫敦是國際金融城市,這點跟香港十分相似,港人只要加強對兩文三語的掌握就不用太擔心。而且港人擁有流利的中文讀寫及口語能力,且認識亞洲文化,有助英國人持續發展亞洲市場;而港人擁有粵語優勢,比只懂普通話的華人更具競爭力。
