Role Mission

• To deliver accurate, efficient, and patient-focused ultrasound examinations while upholding the highest standards of clinical quality, safety, and professional practice.

Role Summary

• You will perform a broad range of ultrasound examinations, support radiologists with preliminary findings, and ensure smooth daily operation of the ultrasound service.

• The role requires strong technical skills, good patient communication, and close adherence to Hong Kong regulatory and departmental standards.

Job Description

• Perform a wide range of ultrasound examinations, including general, obstetric, gynecological, vascular, and small parts studies.

• Conduct Doppler studies such as carotid, DVT, and arterial/venous scans as required.

• Optimize image quality through proper probe selection, gain settings, and patient positioning.

• Provide preliminary findings to radiologists and support image interpretation.

• Ensure patient safety, comfort, and privacy throughout all procedures.

• Maintain ultrasound equipment, including daily calibration, probe cleaning, and fault reporting.

• Accurately document findings in PACS/RIS and complete examination reports.

• Comply with infection control, Hong Kong regulatory requirements, and departmental protocols.

Ideal Candidate

• Bachelor’s Degree in Radiography (Diagnostic) or Medical Ultrasound recognized by the Hong Kong Radiographers Board.

• Registered with the Hong Kong Radiographers Board; Part I or Part II registration is welcome.

• At least 2 years of post-qualification hands-on ultrasound experience in a hospital or clinic setting.

• Strong command of English and Cantonese; Mandarin is an advantage.

• Strong patient communication skills with empathy, professionalism, and attention to detail.
