Getting to know the MBA teams - The University of Hong Kong

Q1. Can you tell me more about your team?

Our team name is HKUnited. We are full time MBA students currently enrolled at the University of Hong Kong. Hailing from five different countries including India, Canada, Japan, The Philippines and Taiwan, we have all worked in different industries prior to starting our MBAs. We are looking forward to contributing to this charitable cause in Hong Kong this winter.  

Q2. What will you do for Operation Santa Claus in the coming weeks?

We have come up with a business plan to leverage the power of social media as well as the network of HKU to support our campaign. We would like to have both offline and online fundraising initiatives and will take part at Christmas markets in Hong Kong. We will fundraise while having fun and “be the magic, make kindness happen.”
Q3. How will you use your MBA knowledge in the Challenge? 

Together as a cohesive, professional and dedicated team, we are able to not only be creative, but also efficient in our fundraising activities. We aim to maximise the knowledge of social media marketing and through our personal and professional experiences, spread awareness to those in need. Most importantly, we share, contribute and have fun throughout the process. The OSC challenge will, without a doubt, be one of the highlights of our MBA journey. 

Q4. What is your fundraising target?

We would like to reach out to at least 2,000 people and raise HKD 200,000 in total for OSC.
